Terms of Service
Last updated October 8, 2026. These terms are the agreement between you and Triick for using CircleMate.
The short version: CircleMate keeps the record. You and your circle move the money, directly, between people who trust each other.
What CircleMate is
CircleMate helps a group run a rotating savings circle: everyone contributes the same amount each round, and one member receives the whole pot until everyone has had a turn. CircleMate keeps the schedule, records who has paid, runs the draw for the payout order, sends reminders and gives each circle a shared chat.
CircleMate never holds your money
Members pay each other directly, by cash, bank transfer or a payment app of their choice. CircleMate doesn't receive, hold, move, invest or lend money, and it isn't a bank, lender, money transmitter or escrow service. The amounts in CircleMate are a record of what members say they paid and received.
Because the money never passes through CircleMate, we can't guarantee that any member will pay, and we can't recover money for you. Join circles with people you trust.
Who can use CircleMate
- You must be at least 18 years old and able to make a binding agreement.
- Give your real name and an email address you control, and keep your sign-in details to yourself.
- You're responsible for what happens in your account.
Your circles
- A circle is an agreement between its members, not with CircleMate. Members agree the amount, schedule and payout order when they join.
- Organizers set the circle up, invite members, confirm payments and settle problems. Members record their payments truthfully and confirm payouts they receive.
- Follow the laws that apply to you, including any rules on savings groups, taxes and reporting income where you live.
Things you must not do
- Record payments or payouts that didn't happen, or use CircleMate to deceive other members.
- Use CircleMate for gambling, lending at interest, money laundering or any other illegal purpose.
- Harass people, send spam invitations or post content you don't have the right to share.
- Upload card or bank account numbers in notes, chat or proof images.
- Try to break, overload, scrape or get around the security of CircleMate.
What you post
You keep ownership of what you post (chat messages, notes, proof images). You let us store and show it to the members of the circle it belongs to, only so CircleMate can work. We may remove content that breaks these terms.
Price
CircleMate is free to use right now. If that changes, we'll tell you well in advance, and you won't be charged for anything you haven't agreed to.
Ending your account
You can delete your account in Settings once you have no unfinished commitments (for example, you're not still in a running circle). Circle records stay for the other members, with you shown as “Former member”. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or put other members at risk.
Disclaimers and limits
We work hard to keep CircleMate accurate and available, but it's provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, Triick isn't responsible for losses between members, for payments that are missed or disputed, or for indirect losses, and our total responsibility to you is limited to the amount you paid us for CircleMate in the last 12 months (if any). Nothing here limits rights you have that the law doesn't allow to be limited.
Changes
We may update these terms. If a change matters, we'll tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. Using CircleMate after that means you accept the new terms.
Law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of [governing law].
