Privacy Policy

Last updated October 8, 2026. This explains what CircleMate collects, why, who can see it, and how you can delete it. CircleMate is run by Triick.

The short version: we don't sell your information or show ads, your circle sees only what it needs to, and you can delete your account any time.

• We don't sell your information, show ads, or use advertising trackers.
• We never hold your money, so we never ask for card or bank account numbers.
• You can delete your account from Settings.

What we collect

• Your account: your name, email address, and if you add them, a phone number and profile photo. If you sign in with Google, Apple or Facebook, we receive your name and email from them.
• Your circles: the circles you create or join, contribution amounts and schedules, the payments and payouts you record (method, date, an optional reference and an optional proof image), draws, and settlements.
• Messages: what you write in a circle's chat, and notes you add to payments.
• Invitations: the name and email or phone number of people you invite.
• Settings: your notification choices, quiet hours and time zone.
• Technical records: sign-in records and basic logs our providers keep to run and secure the service.

Why we use it

• To run your circles: schedules, reminders, draws, payouts and records.
• To send you the emails you've chosen, like invitations, reminders and payout updates.
• To keep accounts secure and stop abuse.
• To help you when you contact support.

Who can see what

• Members of your circle see your name, photo, payment status, payout turn and the circle's chat.
• The organizer of your circle also sees your email and phone number, and the proof images you upload for that circle.
• People you invite see the circle's name, the amount, the schedule and the organizer's name before they join. They don't see other members.
• Our support staff can look at accounts and circles only to help users and keep CircleMate safe. Staff sign in with two-step verification, and every look at personal details is recorded.

Services we use

These companies process information for us, only to provide their service:

• Supabase: database, sign-in and file storage.
• Netlify: hosting the website.
• Resend: sending emails.
• Cloudflare Turnstile: the security check on sign-in, to stop bots.
• Google, Apple and Facebook: only if you choose to sign in with them.

We share information with others only if the law requires it, or to protect people from harm or fraud.

Cookies

We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in, and your browser remembers whether you chose light or dark mode. No advertising or analytics cookies.

Keeping and deleting your information

We keep your information while you have an account. When you delete your account, we delete your sign-in, email, phone, photo, notification settings and notifications. Records that other members rely on, like past payments and payouts in their circles, stay, with your name replaced by “Former member”.

Your choices and rights

• Change your phone, photo and email notifications in Settings at any time.
• Delete your account in Settings.
• Ask for a copy of your information, or ask us to correct it, by emailing support@circlemate.app. Depending on where you live, you may have more rights under local law; we'll honour them.

Security

Information is encrypted in transit, access is limited by strict rules in the database, and invitation links are stored only in a scrambled form. No system is perfectly secure; if something goes wrong that affects you, we'll tell you.

Children

CircleMate is for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
